Welcome! I’m so happy you found your way to my website. Let me introduce myself to you.

Why I draw animals

Hi, I’m Caroline. I live in Munich in southern Germany and I love art and animals. I’m fascinated by the strong emotions both animals and art can evoke. That fascination makes sense: by training I’m a neuroscientist and I spent years researching emotions. Still, the magic of emotion goes beyond what analysis can fully explain.

A wagging tail that greets you at the door. The quiet, almost conspiratorial way a cat chooses you. The calming warmth of a horse’s muzzle against your hand. These moments are just some of the examples of how animals move us. The bond between a person and their animal can be like no other.

In my work I try to capture that warm feeling of love and deep connection. I love that art lets me translate the intangible aspects of these relationships into something visible, shareable and everlasting.

My art journey

I’ve loved drawing for as long as I can remember. Art has always felt special to me, and in 2022 I decided to make it a more consistent part of my life. I began working with pastel and colored pencils, focusing on animals, and quickly fell in love with the medium.

I started by drawing pets of friends and family, and spent time capturing shelter animals as well. Seeing how much joy a portrait could bring to someone inspired me to keep going. Now, in 2026, I’ve taken a leap of faith and launched a small pet-portrait side business. I’m excited to see where this path leads and to meet the pets and people who will be part of the journey.

Thank you for trusting me to draw your pet. I will always pour my heart and soul into every single artwork I create.
